Iran to host Asian Indoor Athletics Championships 2024
Hashem Siami, the chairman of the Athletic Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Monday that the Asian Athletics Association agreed to allow Iran to host the event in 2024, but the exact time of the championships is not known yet, IRNA reported.
The Asian Athletics Association has allocated six quotas to Iran for the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, he said, noting that the AAFIRI does not practice gender discrimination; therefore, athletes likely to win medals will be invited to the national team.
