Syrian official: Sharing parliamentary experiences vital in broadening Tehran-Damascus ties

Haifa Jumaa, who was heading for Tehran on Sunday (today) atop a parliamentary delegation, said before departing Damascus in an interview with, “This visit is made based on an invitation forwarded by Abbas Golru, the Iranian head of the Iran-Syria Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and it is an honor for us to visit Tehran.”

The Syrian lawmaker added, “The shared objective of our friends and brothers in the Iranian Islamic Parliament and the Syrian People’s Parliament of these meetings is sharing experiences and renewing visits of our Iranian brethren.

The senior Syrian legislator said that broadening parliamentary relations play a decisive role in expansion of relations between the two countries and the two nations.

The Syrian parliamentary delegation’s visit is in response to the last year visit by the delegation of Iran-Syria Parliamentary Friendship Committee to Damascus.
